Getting started

Download the game

A full Season 6 client. You download a small launcher — it installs the game itself and keeps it updated from then on. If anything gets stuck, the guide below covers every case we know of.

Everything you needMU AI LauncherSeason 6 · English and Hebrew

42MB · Windows 10/11 · the original game is not required
Downloads the game itself (about 725MB) on first run

Download the launcher
UpdatesNothing to download

The launcher checks for updates every time it opens and downloads only the files that changed — usually seconds. There is no patch file, and you never have to reinstall.

Expect this

Windows will show a blue warning

Private-server clients are not code-signed, so Windows SmartScreen shows "Windows protected your PC". It is a missing signature, not a virus. Click More info, then Run anyway — the small link comes first, the button appears after it.

New — preview build

I have a Mac 🍎

The game runs natively on Apple Silicon (M1 and up) — not emulation. This is a fresh preview build: most things work, and we improve it all the time. Hit something odd? Tell us on Discord.

One commandMU AI for MacApple Silicon (M1–M4) · macOS 12 and up

Open Terminal (⌘+Space, type Terminal, Enter), paste the line below and press Enter:

bash <(curl -fsSL https://play.mu-ai.online/launcher/mac/shortcut.sh)

That is it. A MU AI shortcut appears on your desktop and the game opens. From then on — double-click the shortcut.

What the shortcut doesInstalls, updates, launches

Instead of downloading, extracting and dragging — one line handles everything and leaves you a shortcut on the desktop.

Every time you click it, it fetches the latest updates by itself, exactly like the Windows launcher, and keeps your settings and login details. You will never need to reinstall.

Older Intel Mac? Use Boot Camp with the Windows version.

Step by step

Install guide

Four steps. Most of the time is just waiting for the download.

Download the launcher

Click the button above. The file is a 42MB ZIP — seconds, not minutes. This is not the game yet, just the program that installs it.

Add an antivirus exclusion — before extracting

Private-server clients are not code-signed, so Windows Defender blocks them. Open Windows Security → Virus & threat protection → Exclusions and add the folder you are extracting into (for example C:\MuAI). If you skipped this and the file vanished — add the exclusion and download again.

Extract the ZIP

Right-click → Extract All into the folder you excluded. Important: not into Program Files — Windows permissions there break updates.

Run the launcher — it does the rest

Run MuLauncher.exe. On the first run it downloads the game itself — about 725MB, once only. You can leave it running and do something else. When it finishes, click PLAY, enter the username and password you created at registration — and you are in. The launcher opens in English automatically, and there is a language button in its status bar either way.

Stuck?

Common problems

The game is in Hebrew — how do I switch to English?
It should already be English for you. If it is not: in the game press ESC → Options and pick English in the language box. The server messages follow the same setting automatically — you do not need a chat command.
A blue screen says "Windows protected your PC"
Click More info and then Run anyway. The message appears because the file is unsigned — not because it is harmful.
The game does not open at all / closes immediately
Almost always the antivirus deleted a file mid-extraction. Add an exclusion (step 2), delete the folder, and extract again.
"Connection failed" on the login screen
Check that the server is online (the top bar on this site), and that your firewall is not blocking MuLauncher.exe and main.exe.
The launcher is stuck on "downloading" or feels slow
The first download is about 725MB and takes a while — that is normal. If the bar does not move at all for a few minutes, close the launcher and open it again: it resumes where it stopped and does not re-download what already arrived.
